    The study program is designed to provide students with theoretical knowledge that reflects the current state of knowledge in the national and international context in the field of business, business economics, innovation, and management. The Business and Innovation study program is also focused on developing practical skills that can be used to solve problems and needs in business practice, specifically in business management, innovation management, and innovation processes, including the implementation of one's own business activities and their financing. The aim of the program is to educate experts in the field of business and innovation management, following the principles of sustainability and innovative approaches in business. Students will gain knowledge about the functioning of the economy and the market at the macro and micro levels, and understand management and innovation management, including the innovation process. Graduates will be able to navigate the economic, accounting, tax, and legal aspects of business and respond to stimuli from the business environment with innovations. They will gain knowledge in the field of innovation in business practice, which is necessary for the implementation of their own business and the ability to navigate innovation priorities, including project processing methodology. Students will also acquire the necessary knowledge in information and communication technologies, psychology and sociology, and mathematical-statistical methods. Given the importance of communication in the international environment, students will also gain knowledge of professional English focused on trade and business, and become acquainted with project management and its implementation in practice. The program also allows students to acquire basic knowledge in the areas of marketing, human resource management, business law, entrepreneurial and innovation skills, marketing communication processes, production process management, regional economic strategies, business analysis and strategy, and green business, based on their choice.

    Professional practice is an integral part of the curriculum in each year of study and forms a link between theory and practice. The system of professional internships supports the school's intention to strengthen and develop the employability of graduates and the economic level of the region and fulfills the requirement of a professionally oriented study program. During professional internships, intensive communication takes place not only between the company and the student, but especially between the company and the Moravian University College Olomouc, o.p.s. with the aim of obtaining feedback from employers on the professional readiness of students and future graduates of the school and monitoring the needs of the labor market for the knowledge, skills and competencies of future job applicants.

    The basic goal of professional practice at Moravian University College Olomouc, o.p.s. is to enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies in practice. At the same time, it is an opportunity to verify acquired knowledge and skills in practice. Professional practice leads students to their professional profiling, which contributes to increasing the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market.

    The system of professional internships consists of a set of student activities through which the student prepares for entry and integration into the work environment, becomes acquainted with various types and kinds of work environments, adapts to the requirements of a specific profession, demonstrates their interest in work activities, applies the knowledge and skills acquired in teaching in various work activities. At the same time, they demonstrate and develop their skills, abilities and knowledge applicable in the work environment, including problem solving, using information technology and communication.

    Professional practice often serves students as a basis for the preparation of qualification theses, in which students solve assignments from a specific employer.
