Course objectives (in Czech)
The aim of this course is to provide a complete overview of Entrepreneurship, from its historical development to contemporary trends and challenges. Students will learn about various approaches to entrepreneurship, legal forms of business entities, organizational structures, the entrepreneurial environment, and sources of financing. Students will be introduced to concepts such as the entrepreneurial ecosystem, incubators, accelerators, and will explore the ethical aspects of entrepreneurship. The course also provides an overview of support for entrepreneurship from European Union funds and a comparison of the entrepreneurial in Europe and beyond.

  • 2. Approaches to Entrepreneurship (Schools-of-Thought Approaches to Entrepreneurship, Process Approaches to Entrepreneurship).
  • 3. Key Entrepreneurship Concepts (Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurial Discipline, Entrepreneurial Leadership).
  • 4. Legal Forms for Entrepreneurial Ventures (Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, Corporations, Limited Partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships, S Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, B Corporations, L3C).
  • 5. Organizational design of enterprises.
  • 6. The Business Environment. The Future Trajectory of Entrepreneurship.
