Cíle předmětu
Logistics management is a way of business management ensuring the smooth, fast and cost-effective movement of materials and goods from suppliers to an enterprise and its individual units, as well as of products and semi-finished products from an enterprise and its units to customers. Students learn to define and describe the basic elements of logistic systems. They will be also able to evaluate the logistic plans of an enterprise according to the set criteria. During the lectures, students gain a broad knowledge and understanding of the scope and problems of logistics management and its functions. During the seminars, students learn to master a number of methods and techniques of logistics management (especially, with regard to stock management, logistics costs management and logistics process planning) Within the tutorials, students gain a broad knowledge and understanding of the scope and problems of logistics management and its functions.

Metody hodnocení
Course-credit requirements: Active participation in the practical seminars (at least 80%), individual course assignment, a case study + defence. Credit test (min. 65% — 32,5 points out of 50). The test comprises 4 examples and 4 short questions. Examination requirements: Participation in 2 field trips within the XLM course (based on the timetable provided in the beginning of an academic year) Oral examination: 2 questions (out of 32)
