Cíle předmětu
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the principles of creation and analysis of financial statements and with the causal links among financial information about a company, arising from its financial statements for internal and external users. The course also focuses on the practical application of financial reporting in the control of business activities of a company and on the use of suitable SW support. Main attention is paid to understanding the basic tools of modern financial planning, control, reporting and financial analysis. After completing the course, students will be able to theoretically and practically apply the methods of financial analysis usable for analyzing economic development of the company or for tracking the deviations of the actual state from the planned one. Using this information, the students will be able to predict the future development of the company. The students will gain a practically focused overview of a broad range of financial ratios of the financial analysis and will be able to monitor and assess the economic activity of the company, taking into account the variety of conditions for their realization. The emphasis will be put not only on theoretical knowledge, but in particular on its practical application useful for future careers in financial management particularly of small and medium-sized enterprises.

    4. Analysis of the financial statements of a company (balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flow)
    5. Analysis of the financial situation of a company, financial decision-making
    6. Financial analysis - investment - the current and future value of money, the current and future value of payments, risk in the investment decision-making
    7. Evaluation of the results of the financial analysis; the use of the results for management, strategy and investment of a company
    8. Reporting - the system of statements for management of a company; changes in the financial accounting for the needs of reporting
    9. Classification of revenues and cost analysis for the purposes of reporting; detection and interpretation of deviations
    10. Reporting work and wages
    11. Reporting in-house departments, reporting based on line performance
    12. Reporting and software products

    The course is based on the information-receptive method, the method of problem of interpretation, dialogical methods (interviews, discussions), practical methods (calculations, financial analysis and interpretation of indicators) and the methods of graphical demonstration of the issues. The course includes solving a complex practically-focused project consisting of different tasks of financial analysis and reporting.

Zápočet: předpokladem pro udělení zápočtu je účast na cvičeních, zpracování dílčích úkolů a seminární práce dle pokynů vyučujícího, úspěšné absolvování zápočtového testu.
