Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the forms of e-business, they will learn about the conceptual model of e-commerce and learn how to developt e-commerce strategy and business plan. After completing the course, the students will be able to establish and run an e-shop and will know how to use various Internet tools for its development. Last but not least, the students will get acquainted with the possibilities of internet payments and transactions in the FIAT and virtual currencies.
Syllabus
  • 1. Basic terminology (e-business, e-commerce, e-commerce, e-payment)
    2. Conceptual model of e-commerce
    3. Business model (strategy and business plan for e-commerce)
    4. Internet marketing
    5. Internet campaigns (affiliate programs, partner web sites, newsletters and discount coupons)
    6. Sales support (cross-selling, cross-promotion, merchandising, cross-docking)
    7. Internet domain and webhosting
    8. Web applications and services
    9. E-shops (administration, configuration, and services)
    10. Payment gateways and their implementation
    11. Virtual currencies and cryptocurrencies in e-trading
    12. Sales and marketing options on Amazon, Alibaba, Heureka, the list of goods, price comparisons.
    In the course, the information-receptive methods, the methods of problem of interpretation and knowledge application and heuristic methods are mostly used. The exercises are based on practical and participatory methods.
