Cíle předmětu
The course called Business Economics 1 introduces the field of business economics to students. Business economics is a branch of science which deals with the economy of a company since a company is one of the basic elements of each economy and represents a set of tangible, personal and intangible elements of business. Business economics is both theoretical and practical discipline and it provides recommendations to businessmen, managers and economists. It is also important for other interest groups, company environment, and employees. The course called Business Economics 1 defines what a company is, what legal forms of entrepreneurship are; it deals with establishing a company and its dissolution, building up property and capital assets of a company, costs, revenues, economic result of a company, and many other related issues. In terms of the course, business economic processes and phenomena are pictured and analyzed including their links and contexts. The positive and negative consequences of a company´s behaviour and decisions are identified. The course follows the knowledge gained in studies of economic theory, mathematics, statistics and basics of management. The content of the course includes solving basic issues of company development, decision-making on basic issues of strategic and operational management, and getting a complex and systematic view on business economics.
