- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- Students are introduced to basic concepts and approaches of system theory, information technology, general fundamentals of modelling methods and business applications. They also acquire knowledge of decision-making procedures in organisations and information systems. Students are able to propose the suitable procedures for problem-solving as well as when searching for an ideal option.

- 2. Information systems (in a business environment)
- 3. Security management
- 4. Decision-making methods
- 5. Advanced methods of managerial decision-making
- 6. Information management
- 7. Clouds, offshoring, outsourcing, hosting
- 8. Common information system applications (ERP, SAP, CRM)
- 9. Knowledge-based decision-making methods
- 10. Expert systems for supporting managerial decision-making, their basic principles
- 11. Software systems supporting multicriterial decision-making
- 12. Examples of simple models supporting decision-making and how to use them
- Assessment methods
- Course credit requirements: attendance, elaboration and presentation of an assigned topic
