Course objectives
Management and operation of water supply and sewerage The aim of this tutorial is to introduce the summary of the essential information needed for the management of water supply and sewerage, particularly in conditions in the Czech Republic. Besides the introduction with the structure of water supply and sewerage systems in the Czech Republic and reminding basic legal norms in this field, there will be explained an approach to the role of the concept of water supply systems, sewerage systems and wastewater treatment. For both systems there will be summarized principles of management and operation and measures related to the efficient operation of water supply and sewerage, including the use of information technology tools in the management of technological processes, monitoring of water supply and sewerage systems and the role of geographic information systems. In the end there will be discussed the principles of health and safety in the operation of water supply and sewage.
