The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The objective of the course is to introduce students to basic principles of website creation and its connection with simple web applications. Students learn to use web technologies in terms of website presentation and user interaction. They become familiar with principles of correct structure of HTML and CSS.
After completing the course, the student is able to use web technologies in practice, they are also able to work with the programming language HTML, XHTML and CSS as well as to implement a website and a functioning e-shop. They are also able to use and configure the basic type of e-shop ‘Prestashop’, to work with individual modules and configure it through the back-stage mode.
Syllabus
  • 1. Internet and its services, introduction to website creation, XHTML and CSS standards, code syntax and its editing
  • 2. Structure of HTML code – header, code body, paragraphs of text, text formatting, text alignment, text effects, lists and numbering
  • 3. HTML tags for working with tables - table, row, cell, cell content alignment, cell table borders, pictures, viewports
  • 4. CSS styles, CSS syntax, basic CSS constructs
  • 5. HTML markup tags when working with frames and shared borders – frame creation, frame target, cascading styles, shared borders
  • 6. HTML tags when working with links – link to a text, link to a file, link to a FTP target, link to a web page, link to a website
  • 7. Basic types of e-shops and their principle of function
  • 8. Basic techniques of work with CMS Prestashop
  • 9. Working with Prestashop modules and external modules
  • 10. Definition and configuration of back-stage mode e-shop
  • 11. Google Adwords Sklik ads and tools
  • 12. E-shop payment tools (payment gateways, Pay pal)
