Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to enable the student to apply theoretical knowledge gained during his studies in practice. At the same time, the student can test and verify his practical skills in real business world.
Syllabus
  • Through practical training, the theory is applied in the real or simulated business environment. After completing this course the students will be able: to have a better understanding of the real business environment and to present their experience, skills and
  • to critically evaluate the company's operation based on relevant data and to gain the image of how demanding certain jobs are
  • to identify the areas for future personal (professional) development
  • to formulate and defend their views and to present the results of their own work
  • to practically anchor knowledge gained in the studying
  • to identify their role in the team
  • Practical training will include:
  • Preparatory seminars and workshops in which students get acquainted with selected topics of communication, decorum, business documents handling and other fields necessary to carry out the practical training.
  • Practical training in the real or simulated business environment in the form of internships, work stays, excursions to companies and institutions, practical workshops with experts from the real business environment.
  • Evaluation of a selected company operation, presentation to other students with a follow-up discussion
  • Evaluation of students’ performance and recommendation to further professional development
  • Practical training may be implemented with companies based in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. During professional practice, the students are mostly trained through mentoring. Practical training will be supervised by the Consulting and Career Centre and managed individually with regards to the study programme and professional focus of the students.
