Abstract
EVALUATION OF HEALTHCARE EXPENDITURES ON PREVENTIVE SERVICES IN THE TERRITORY OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC JAROSLAV S KRABAL Institute of Economics and Finance Moravian Business College Olomouc Olomouc, Czech Republic jaroslav.skrabal@mvso.cz LEA ZASTKOVA Student Moravian Business College Olomouc Olomouc, Czech Republic 8631@mail.mvso.cz Abstract: The mentioned paper focuses on the evaluation of expenses for preventive services in the territory of the Czech Republic. The aim of the paper is to compare and evaluate expenditure components in the healthcare sector for the period from 2010 to 2021. Among the methods used in the paper are description, deduction and comparison. The data used in this post are from the Czech Statistical Office. In this paper, the authors focus primarily on health care expenditures in the Czech Republic from public sources. Subsequently, the au thors also focused on the evaluation of expenses within the framework of the economic performance indicator, which is the GDP. It is likely that the share of health care funding directly from state and local budgets increased during the pandemic period. Fu rthermore, it can be concluded that in the coming years it is necessary to think about the consequences of the aging of the population and thus expect that the expenses in the healthcare sector will grow in the coming years, precisely because of the conseq uences of the aging of the population and the greater demand for healthcare and social services.
