YO1OA - English for Special Purposes

Course requirements:

1. Attendance 50%.

2. Final test (minimum score – 70%), which is based on the vocabulary and grammar covered in the course.

3. Oral exam (based on the topics covered in the course)

4. Presentation

 

Requirements for the presentation:

1.       Topic: Choose a topic from the subjects you study: Marketing, Management, Logistics, Human Recourse, Finance, etc.

2.       Send me the topic of your presentation by 15.03.24.

3.       Use Power Point.

4.       Use MVSO sample presentation.

5.       1st slide – MVSO logo. Write your name, student number, year of study, subject, topic of the presentation.

6.        Sources: include all the sources of information that you used to prepare the presentation.

7.       Minimum 1 source of information must be in English: it can be an online article or a book (from a TRUSTWORTHY source - you need some theory to support you presentation).

8.       Use pictures/graphs if you want.

9.       Rule of 5: not more than 5 lines on a slide, not more than 5 words in a line.

10.   The presentation must be 8-minutes long.

11.   You are going to present = speak, not read.

12.   Some useful expression to present your topic:
