Applied Economic Policy
The objective of the course Applied Economic Policy is to familiarise students with basic instruments of economic policy and their application in economic practice. The main emphasis is placed on the ability of students to estimate the consequences and impacts of particular economic policy measures of the state on both macroeconomics as well as business entities, and thus, to enable them to rationalise their behaviour.
The course Applied Economic Policy introduces students to the basic mechanisms of its functioning, contains characteristics of instruments, goals and bearers in general and specific form within individual policies in which economic measures are applied. It includes structural and regional policy, social policy, competition policy, stabilisation policy, external economic policy as well as environmental protection policy.
