The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Students will learn to correctly interpret the terminology used in Human Resources management and explain mutual links and influences of individual HR activities in a system. They will be able to describe individual HR activities, define their importance for the entire management system of Human Resources, including the labour law contexts. By completing the seminars, students will know how to apply the gained knowledge in the methodology of carrying out the selected HR activities in organizations.
Syllabus
  • 1. Human Resources Management – the system and strategy. The main agents. Elements of company culture. Company environment and culture.
  • 2. The labour market and its analysis. Information sources describing the labour market situation – HR planning in organizations.
  • 3. Dependent labour (the term, Švarc system). Employment. Procedures preceding the employment agreement, the establishment of employment.
  • 4. An employment contract (necessary content and form), trial period, temporary employment contract. Work agreements outside employment.
  • 5. HR activity and its role in companies. HR administration. Documents.
  • 6. Personality of a worker in an organization. Potential, competences of employees, development interventions.
  • 7. Work performance management. An analysis of work and work position. Motivation. A system of performance appraisals. Internal mobility of employees in an organization.
  • 8. Methods of work analysis and position analysis. Job description. Methods of identifying the worker´s potential.
  • 9. Personal career. career management in an organization.
  • Personal development and education of employees.
  • 10. Job interviews. Legal aspects of job interviews.
  • 11. Work competences. Competence models in organizations. Human resources management Based on the competence model.
  • 12. The Termination of employment. The dissolution of the employment agreement (termination by mutual agreement, dismissal, immediate termination, termination during the trial period).
