The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to help students orient themselves in the possibilities of financing projects from public sources (the EU and the Czech Republic) and provide them with a basic overview of software applications which are used within obtaining subsidies and grants. The course focuses on techniques of projects preparation, their management and evaluation; it outlines the basic principles of project management and provides an overview of the functionality of the various software applications that are used within this process. It also focuses on funding options of various types of projects from public funds of the EU and the Czech Republic. A student is able to: - characterize the basic concepts of project management, - define the objective and purpose of the project, divide it into logically consecutive units, - interpret basic techniques of project planning (PERT, Gantt, CPM), - prepare a budget, - delegate roles among project team members, - evaluate the risks threatening the realization of the project and argue about the proposed measures for their prevention, - explain the basic functions of SW tools MS Project.
