Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce the European Union in its complex form to students. After a successful completion of the course, they will be knowledgeable in the current politically and economically interconnected world.

    1. Economic Policy in the EU with Focus on Fiscal and Monetary Policy
    - Fiscal and budgetary policy
    - European budget and Multiannual financial framework
    - comparison between European and Czech fiscal and financial condition
    - Monetary policy
    - Objectives of monetary policy in EU and monetary vehicles
    - European central bank and Maastricht criteria
    2. Consumer Culture in Europe
    - Cultural dimension in Europe
    - European culture and marketing
    - Czech cultural dimensions
